I first experienced Reiki when my sons were small & life was fraught after a family bereavement - Reiki put me back on track. I drifted away from Reiki as life with two boys kept me busy but when I sought a change, Reiki found me again, this time training as a practitioner & then as a Reiki Master/Teacher.
Further training in Reflexology followed, then Indian Head Massage, Uplifting & Rejuvenating Face Massage , Nutrition & Health & Guided Meditation after that. This enables me to provide a truly holistic service to my clients and enhances my understanding of the effects of complementary therapy. I always train with accredited training providers.
Complementary therapies have always been a part of my life, from using herbs and essential oils as a teenager to where I am now. I practice Reiki daily in line with my training because it makes me feel great but I use my other therapies to complement it for relaxation & general wellbeing.
I am passionate about complementary therapies so keep up-to-date with research projects, new ideas and continue to explore other therapies. Currently training in Aromatherapy & Crystal Therapy, I am excited to soon be able to incorporate the unique qualities of essential oils & crystals with my existing therapies.
My primary aim is for my clients to leave the treatment room feeling relaxed, calm & with an enhanced feeling of wellbeing.
I am registered as a therapist with Southend Borough Council, hold an enhanced DBS and a Level 3 First Aid at Work certificate.
I volunteer at Havens Hospice in Southend as part of their complementary therapy team offering Reflexology & Indian Head Massage.
